It's easy to say there's nothing special about the AT's in this range, but there's also not really anything bad to say about them, either. If you take time to place them correctly and maybe have a tube pre-amp to warm up a bit, you can use them for all sorts of things from overheads, acoustic, background vocals, room mics, and even bag pipes (yup, got stuck doing that a couple times).
