But cheers to protests: Pussy Riot staged a protest against President Vladimir Putin (punk music rules).
And they get sentenced to two years in jail… Vladimir, Vladimir… get a grip man. Now two members have apparently left Russia. The situation gets a little shady given that the protest happened at a church (and we in America know how touchy that sort of thing can be), which could carry a sentence in Russia for up to 7 years. Sentenced to only two years is “a gift” from the Russian court…. yeah. It’s the worse demonstration of old men yelling “GET OFF MY LAWN YOU DARN KIDS!” that I’ve ever seen.
