I've never met a Boss pedal that I didn't like. This baby came to me like good fortune from the heavens. One day, I just happened to mention my dream of this effects board to a friend, and said friend just happened to have one lying around for me to try out. Needless to say, it came home with me that night, and hasn't left me since. Thank the heavens for friends who work at Roland!
I've had this amazing piece of kit for about a year now, and there are still a million features I've yet to discover. There is definitely a steep learning curve, but if you're after an effects pedal that does absolutely everything, there's not much missing. There are 200 preset effects, and you can also create and save 200 of your own effects. I love some of the grittier sounds like White Dist and Long Train, and there are some cool synthy sounding ones as well. The looping feature is also fun… You can sound like four guitarists at once!
I have not figured out how to get a good space echo sound out of it though. If anyone has got any suggestions for that, please let me know!
Overall, I am pretty much in love with the Boss GT-10. It's the type of gear you can spend hours and hours with and always discover new sounds. The interface is user-friendly and easy to read in the dark. It's also built like a tank, as are most Boss pedals.
