When the totality of Trump’s supporters would rather spit in the eye of an “MSM” reporter than read a newspaper or tackle the concept of a non-biased Google search – why wouldn’t Steven K. Bannon orchestrate an endless series of White House leaks to the main stream media?
If I were in Bannon’s position, that’s what I would do.
The Trump Administration is no different than the Trump Campaign. Both require(d) an enemy, and only three such enemies motivate the Trump bobbleheads to chant in the same direction: hating Hillary, fearing diversity, and loathing main stream media. As such, it makes perfect sense that Steve Bannon would be conducting the multitude of leaks coming out of the Trump White House.
We have no proof whatsoever. But in America, Truth is secondary, Clean Coal is real, and a morally bankrupt billionaire narcissist is the champion of the working man.
Thusly proofless, we nevertheless claim that every leak and resulting twittered “SAD!” accusation by Donald Trump solidifies the Trump (bowel)movement that is his voter base.
Given what we know about Steve Bannon… it certainly feels like a page out of his slimy playbook. I beg of him to prove me wrong.
Trump Supporters Are An Elementary School Physics Demonstration
Assuming you believe in physics, you accept that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. In modern-day America, physics mandates that every time Trump supporters are confronted with facts, they hit back equally as hard with alternative facts. Trump supporters would be breaking the laws of the Universe if they were to be presented with a fact and quietly accept it with a sedate, “OK, that sounds reasonable…”
The Universe requires that Trumpsters react in the opposite direction of every fact they confront. If Dark Matter were an ironic second-cousin of Yin and Yang who trips over his own shoes and hits his head on the door every time he gets into the car, Trump supporters It would be.
Republicanland must push back. As is Physics, so too is politics; particularly in the post-Obama era. There is no middle ground. Moderate politicians no longer exist. There is only Red versus Blue. There is only win and lose. There is only act and react.
As were the Obama Haters – who admittedly are the same horde of red-blooded-über-Americans who comprise the Trump base – it didn’t matter what Obama said or attempted: they would immediately believe the opposite and fight against him. Red versus Blue; win or lose. Under Trump, they behave the same way. The catalyst is the only thing that’s changed.
America Has Stopped Evolving
Where once was pinned President Obama’s face on the dartboard of Republicanland Antitheticalism, now hangs a kindergarten collage of News Media, Facts, Science, Justice, and Lady Liberty… theirs is a large dart board… such targeting convexness happens to a country when Hate dominates Culture.
How to create a path out of the evolutionary rut in which America is stuck eludes me – no one has the answer because Physics keeps laughing at Politics’ temporal insignificance and kicks It back into the evolutionary muck – leaving everyday Americans destined to spit-polish Politics’ grimy shoes; always on the watch for His tossed-aside gratuity so we might one day afford a meal with Dignity. But we get nothing from our effort short of a thumb-flipped Canadian quarter that mocks our struggle from every possible angle.
Facts knows that Proof isn’t required for Action to run guns-a-blazing through the streets of Republicanland – all that’s required are a few fake articles created by Macedonian teenagers. And so in the name of Justice, (and only for a brief moment), POLITUSIC will drop Facts at the nearest bus stop.
For the benefit of Inane, let’s declare it a fact that Steve Bannon is the mastermind who arranges leaks to the press, because he knows that by doing so Trump’s base becomes more enraged, and therefore, more loyal. In that scenario, all one needs is to have the NRA to throw in a few supporting battle cries in the form of videos declaring war on democrats and the New York Times… in Bannon’s mind that’s a winning strategy for 2020.
I know it’s not true… you know it’s not true… but as a mental springboard, we can understand why Republicanland loves conspiracy theories more than Truth… because somehow insanity makes being an American a little bit easier.
