To all baby boomers: the future of Medicare and the entire US health care system is up to you!
Forget all the politicians, forget the debt clock, the death panels, and bussed-in protests – it’s all funded by a lobbyist , anyway. Forget it all: YOU are the people who will save Medicare and health care in the US… by making it Single Payer!
Baby Boomers are getting to medicare age… retired. Maybe a little more free time to change all the “Squares in Washington” one more time for the good of the country.
We need you to gather together, protest like crazy, and get those politicians to raise your children’s taxes! Get them to raise your grandchilren’s taxes! For their own good! For their own health, so that they have health care in the future with a single payer system.
Just because you’re retired doesn’t mean we still don’t need help from few million hippies ;)
Baby Boomers: it’s time to use the reasoning “Because I said so” one last time for the good of your kids. You might get complaints, but you know what: you know better. You’re our parents. Show us some tough love.
Take your lobbying power and get single payer health care system done. We need you! Raise my taxes! PLEASE! Raise my taxes if it means all 70+ million of you lobby to get single payer health care in the US.
Have you been wondering what to do with all that free time now that you’re retired? How about make the country a better place? The United States needs your help to finally create a logical health care system that actually works for an entire country: single payer. The ONLY way health care can be viable for an entire population, and it cannot be done without the Baby Boomers taking the torch.
How baby boomers can save the US health care system
You, the Baby Boomers, are a massive market. I’ve had to sit through thousands of erectile dysfunction ads in the last 10 years because of how big a market you are. You have a lot of money and influence. You have much more influence than your children do when it comes to policy.
You’re also going to be very bored….
If my parents are any indicator “work, work, work” is all that they know… retirement means there will be a lot of time to be filled with important things to be done. Possibly the MOST important accomplishment of your generation: fix Medicare by making the entire system single payer: Medicare for All.
You can do it :) We shall overcome! Our House is a Very, Very, Very Nice House! Puff the Magic Dragon! Get Washington over their Purple Haze of greed. Woodstock 3.0!
Sure, you’ve worked for a long time, so you’ll want to travel for awhile, pick up some new hobbies, get some well deserved rest…. but YOU are the generation that can do it! It has to be the baby boomers for both your history and influence on the current market. You are the generation of the March on Washington! You are the generation that got some good political sh*t done!
… and your kids seriously need your help.
You are the Baby Boomers! You have power, influence, money! … Now you’re all retiring and have a chance to put all that energy (and positive vibes) into something that can, once again, change the world for the better.
Baby Boomers: we need single payer health care in this country, and you’re the generation who can pull it off. Get some rest. Enjoy not having to go to work every day for a little while… then get yourselves organized and fix this thing.
You might be the only ones who can. See you at Woodstock!
