Donald Trump to Apprentice Newt Gingrich’s Hard Knock Life Kids while jumping on board the Donald Trump Debate Television Train.
Once again, it’s all about the money and self promotion in politics. But today took it to an entirely new level (at least publicly where the rest of us could see it). Those who are voting in the Republican primary: is THIS really what you want? Really? To make even more of a joke of the process by having Trump moderate a debate and add some “poor kids” to the Apprentice to show solidarity with Newt’s stance on child labor laws? This one is laughable: I’m assuming in an effort to make up for Newt’s comment about child labor laws being stupid and that kids from poor neighborhoods are lazy (even though in the same time he continues to push his “food stamp vs. pay check” language), Newt apparently asked The Donald to apprentice 10 kids from poor schools for an apprentice-like gig (which of course Donald took a moment to remind us all of his wonderful television show).
Newt has a thing for poor kids. More of the typical “Creating the Other” to target momentum in politics.
The “press conference” where Newt justifies his involvement in the Donald debate train (maybe it will end up on pay per view)
Can you see the it now? Not a full show, but plenty of segments and promotions to try and sell some more ads and get some PR.
And does anyone think that this will have any impact on the fact that there aren’t any jobs? It’s nothing more than a stunt to try and make the two of them look compassionate. “Hey look at me, I can spend time with poor people.” It’s one long commercial for Newt. They are in the business of selling beliefs to anyone who will buy them. They are making fun of the country, and taking it to the bank every day.
If you don’t think Newt Gingrich is in it for the money, try reading Fortune’s take on Newt’s history of questionable politics and money making.
And of course, we cannot forget to mention that Newt is (as of today) the only person to sign on to Donald Trump’s Republican debate he’s “moderating” (can you imagine what THAT will be like?). Alas, keep your calendars open: December 27th is the Donald Trump moderated Republican debate. The circus that is the Republican primary continues.
Whether or not Newt is a member of one of Donald Trump’s county clubs I don’t think matters in this situation. Basically, you have two people with egos larger than anything this side of the Rocky Mountains thinking that they can magically “fix” our county’s socio economic problems by doing a knock off of a television show and having more and more agenda pushing debates with questions and topics that lead worse than carrots on sticks. Nothing but massive ego and self-serving ideas.
Republicanland. It’s quite a circus.

Does anyone else remember that period only a week after Newt finally announced he was running for president that his entire campaign fell apart? His staff all quit? Does he even have a staff again or is this thing all being run by Newt Gingrich group, Inc, productions, publications… whichever of the multiple companies are that all are housed in the same building.
