… and we’re not even close to the final amount… over a billion dollars will easily be spent, most likely.
Sad part is… how many good things that money could have done, you know? All it did was paid for advertising and over priced consultants. How many teachers, firefighters, policemen, could all this money get? How many military vet services could be salvaged with that kind of money?
How many roads and bridges can be fixed with the over 1 billion dollars that’s being spent on these campaigns? How many construction jobs would that create? How many pell grants so more kids can go to college? How many grandparents could that help with some extra medicine or a doctor’s visit or two?
Think we could build a few schools with one BILLION dollars? But everyone would rather write these obscenely large checks so that they have power and influence in Washington, not to actually make the country a better place to live.
Not a new message, but pretty sad that no one seems to give a shit anymore.
