Is the good senator from “papers please” Arizona still angry about losing the 2008 election? Why is John McCain pounding his chest about Benghazi over, and over – and over – again in his outrageous, irresponsible, politically-motivated, bitter-tasting, revenge-seeking-reeking manner? (... with the more extreme right-side of the republican party in tow for the TV cameras, of course…)
To our dear Senator McCain: If you want to know what happened in Benghazi, try going to the actual briefings instead of holding countless press conferences during said briefings. Stop shouting “speeches” packed full of “WHY THIS?” and “WHY THAT?” (which accomplishes nothing other than feed the overly-paranoid pocket within the republican base).
Acting like a grumpy old man who is lost on a desert island and demanding attention from bright lights and shiny lenses in the sky… that won’t get you answers you claim you want to know.
If you REALLY wanted answers to all these pressing questions: you wouldn’t be giving press conferences about it! You would be using the proper channels in Washington that you KNOW could give you the answers to questions regarding national security. Stop the crazy politics. The election is over and there are huge issues that need help from serious people. All you care about is being a grumpy old man who awkwardly reads speeches off note cards with an American flag as a patriotic frame for the TV cameras. I’m sick and tired of republicans politicizing Benghazi.
Were there mistakes made? Yes. Is Susan Rice to blame? No. Does a mistake (or mistakes) suddenly make the situation a conspiracy? No. Did the republicans in congress deny requests for more funding for protection of our people overseas? Yes. All the people who engage in overly-partisan Washington politics are to blame!
Senator McCain: The attack in Benghazi was a result of your style of inciting, overly-political and agressive talk and behavior – it’s not an event at which to target that same, disruptive behavior just so you can get more television time.
The politics of Washington caused all these events and mistakes in defending against them to happen – the DECADES of petty, partisan, politics that serve as catalysts for everything from protests, to IEDs, to targeted terrorist attacks, to Frenchman saying “Peeoou” at the mere mention of an American. Insulting entire countries and threatening constant war tends to make people a bit uneasy, un-liking, and prone to overreaction whenever given the chance. Washington politicians, being lead by Fox News and now John McCain: grow up, get to work, and start FIXING the problems in this country together like we hired you to do.
Stop pointing fingers: anyone who has ever put the game of politics and power over the good of our country is at fault – even you grumpy John McCain – so stop leading the the paranoid conspiracy-theory march; pounding-on-the-podium like an out of control toddler. Be honorable like we all know you can be.
Y’all should be embarrassed. If you really wanted answers you could get them without wading into the political muck…
… but being knee-deep in the political effluvia is about all 75% of republicans and democrats in Washington DC are good at anymore. They don’t govern, they don’t legislate… they chant, rant, and strut like Lord of the Flies as the rescue ship passes them by. (The scary part is many of the States are even worse!)
